We are in a Broadway theater in the mid-1970s. The show begins in the middle of an audition for a new musical production. The director, Zach, and his assistant, Larry, put the candidates to the test. Seventeen of them contest the knockout round: Mike, Bobby, Sheila, Bebe, Maggie, Kristine, Al, Mark, Connie, Diana, Don, Judy, Richie, Greg, Cassie, Val and Paul.

But the most difficult part remains: Zach is looking for a powerful choir made up of four boys and four girls, and before making the final decision he wants to know more about the candidates. So, ask them to introduce themselves and talk about themselves. With some reluctance, everyone will end up talking about their past. Through the musical numbers we will get to know their dreams and best kept secrets, until we reach the culminating number, One, where the individual personalities of the dancers will merge into a new and collective identity, that of the Choir, constituting a company that does not seem to have finish.

The original Broadway show was produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival, Joseph Papp, producer, in association with Plum productions, Inc.

A CHORUS LINE is presented in agreement with TAMS-WITMARK LLC 229 W. 28th Street, 11th Fl. New York, NY 10001

American General Management: Joe Christopher for RWS Entertainment Group.
